We have focused our studies on the Erg protein functions during skeletal, mainly cartilage, formation. The PEA3 group members, which are Ets transcription factors, exert a role in this tissue rearrangement. &lt;p&gt;	&lt;br /&gt; One of the main objectives is now &lt;strong&gt;to better define the mechanisms by which these transcription factors regulate mammary cancer metastasis&lt;/strong&gt;. For this purpose, we have developed &#8220;&lt;em&gt;in cellulo&lt;/em&gt;&#8221; and &lt;em&gt;in vivo&lt;/em&gt; models in which these factors are either up- or down-regulated. The transcriptional activity of these factors is regulated by various post-translational modifications in order to regulate transcription of their target genes. The cross-talk between post-translational modifications on Serine/Threonine (Phosphorylation) and on Lysine (Acetylation, Ubiquitination and Sumoylation) within these factors is now precisely studied.
